Another day closer to HOME!

[SGT Fry and SPC Houghtelin]
Greetings, my Adoring Fan Club.I'm doing okay. Looking very forward to getting back to the states. I'm so sick of this country. I wish I were home every day. I miss you all so darn much! I love you guys TONS!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to get back to the states...everything is going to seem so much better!I had fun last night hanging out with my roomie (Phaedra Fry) and 2 of her girlfriends. They came over to do Fry's hair, and since I was there, I kinda "came along for the ride". It was fun. We just talked and listened to tunes. Kinda reminded me of hanging out with my girlfriends back home. Good times...good times.I should be on my way back to work. Can't be on the computer ALL day! :^) Take care of yourselves and thank you for all your love and support thru the duration of this deployment. It has meant a great deal to me.Love YA! Toodles!!!!

Help! I'm being repressed!!!!

[Siceloff doing the fireman carry with me. What a couple of dweebs, eh?]
Hey Gang!
In about 5 days, my buddy, Siceloff, will be coming back! HuZzAh!!! I'm so excited to have him come back here! I'll have someone to hang-out with again, besides the crazy band geeks that I've been hanging out with since he left. UGH! Just kidding. I've been hanging-out with the kewl geeks, but they're still geeks nevertheless. :^) *wink*
Life is still sucky. Hopefully it will be improving sometime soon here. My unit is already telling us to start packing some of our things to be packed in the conex (which is to be shipped back to the states in September). YAY! That's a good sign. Plus, the 1st Cavalry Division band has orders that would place them here, in Iraq, in October. I might be going home early after all! No matter what, though, I'd be getting home before Thanksgiving. I don't know about Matthew's unit. He might not be coming back to the states until early December. But he will FOR SURE be back before Christmas! :^)
We miss you all so much. I hope you are all doing well. I've gotta go back to that "work" thing. They still haven't realized that I'm allergic to work. C'est la vie. Take care. TOODLES!!!!!

Added links...

Hello, my adoring fan club!
Nothing to really "report". I've added a lot more links. Angie has a blog site which you should check out. I've also added a link to my buddy's band Under The Gun, which is thru MySpace. They've got a couple of their songs on their Space. Then there's a bunch of funny site like Ill Will Press---check out the cartoon "Neurotically Your's"---and Angry Alien---check out the "30 Second Bunny Theater"---Ebaum's World, and Totally Tom. I've also added a link to a real-live Treasure Hunting site--Geo Cache. They have GPS coordinates for caches hidden all around the globe. I've even found a couple here on my camp in Iraq! It's fun and you should try it if you have a GPS and time to blow.
Well, it's about that time. I've gotta get going and do the voodoo that I do! :^) Love you guys. TOODLES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hap-Hap-Happy Independance Day!

[Top: Matthew and Crystal celebrating Independance Day. Bottom: 4 ID Band with Her Majesty's Royal Marine Band (Crystal is front row, second one in from the left)]
Hi Everybody!
Got to see Matthew over the 4th of July. That was awesome!! We got to spend a lot of quality time with eachother, which was much-needed. We got to go swimming, eat really good Army-style junk food, walk, talk, meet interesting people (I'll tell you about that one later--can't disclose that info over the net or I might get into trouble), do all the things that married people get to do *wink*, and my band got to perform with Her Majesty's Royal Marine Band. Nifty, eh? Give them a hand...they're British! :^) I've got a couple pics of us (my unit) with them, too! All in all, it was pretty fun. It was the best I could ask for...being deployed and all. No fireworks, but the kind of fireworks I'd get out here, I'm grateful that there weren't any.
In other news, my pal, Siceloff left to go on leave on 2 July. He won't be back until the end of the month, I guess. I'm getting a lot of reading in, at least. Without him around, I'm forced to find ways to entertain myself. I try to keep myself busy enough to stay out of trouble, but I fear that I can only keep trouble at bay for only so-long. C'est la vie, right? I hope Siceloff is having fun on leave. He promised to drink a beer for me...hope you remember that, Nathan!!!
Well, I should be on my way. Hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July! I know I did! :^) Take care. Keep us in your thoughts. Toodles!
